Veronica NILSSON

General Secretary of the Trade Union Advisory Committee to the OECD (TUAC)

Veronica Nilsson was elected General Secretary of TUAC in June 2023, after a year serving as Acting General Secretary. Previously, she was Head of the Global Deal Support Unit in the Directorate for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs at the OECD (2019-22). Prior to this, she oversaw a regional project on trade-related issues at the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Office in Singapore (2017-2019). Ms. Nilsson has spent most of her career in the trade union movement and held several elected positions between 2010 and 2016, including Deputy General Secretary of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC). Ms. Nilsson holds a Master’s Degree in Political Economy from Stockholm University.
