The OECD’s Health Committee is currently analyzing the challenges member states are facing in ensuring sustainable access to new and innovative treatments to all those in need. On the occasion of the 22nd meeting of the Health Committee on the 11th of December, TUAC and PSI urged the OECD to take into account five key points amongst others, the idea to upgrade the role of the public sector in order to put patents in the public domain, thus increasing access to new and innovative treatments and making these available at a reasonable price.
