In the tradition of constructive social dialogue in  support for the OECD work on RBC, the TUAC is releasing a joint statement with Business @ OECD and OECD Watch to express shared support for National Contact Points (NCPs) and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises in response to the COVID-19 crisis.  Workers, communities and businesses around the world face unprecedented challenges to conduct business while preventing further contagion.  The Guidelines offer a sound road-map for how to conduct business responsibly in a manner that accomplishes economic, environmental and worker objectives.

The joint statement of support considers the likelihood of increased attention to the NCP, necessitating adequate resources be provided.  Participation in the NCP process is also encouraged.  The three stakeholders express their commitment to solutions that satisfy interests of all parties, from a foundation rooted in social dialogue.
