Therese Guovelin was elected First Vice-President of LO in June 2016, a position she held until May 2024. She took up the role after serving both as Vice President and President of the Hotel and Restaurant Workers’ Union (HRF). Besides her work with TUAC, Ms Guovelin has been involved with the international trade union movement for many years, including as a member of the Executive Committee of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC). Her areas of interest include labour markets, education and training, equality and migration.
