TUAC Webinar on a Sustainable and Inclusive Chile, 16 July 2020 – 16.00-18.00 CET

Since December 2019, the situation in Chile has gone from bad to worse for the trade unions in the context of the Covid-19 outbreak. Among others, the CUT Chile expresses serious concern about the on-going lack of dialogue with civil society, the management of the health crisis and, more structurally, the severe imbalances between public and private provisions (of essential services, of social protection) and between collective and individual mechanisms in the Chilean economy and society.

The TUAC webinar on 16 July will be an opportunity for the CUT Chile to share their concerns and, from there, to help facilitate a dialogue between parties by making best use of the OECD standards and instruments to that end.

Desde diciembre, la situación en Chile se ha agravado aún más para los sindicatos en el contexto del brote de la COVID-19. La CUT Chile expresa, entre otras, su seria preocupación por la continua falta de diálogo con la sociedad civil, la gestión de la crisis sanitaria y, más estructuralmente, los graves desequilibrios entre las prestaciones públicas y privadas (de servicios esenciales, de protección social) y entre los mecanismos colectivos e individuales en la economía y la sociedad chilenas.

El seminario web de la TUAC de este 16 de julio brindará la oportunidad de que la CUT Chile comparta sus preocupaciones y, a partir de allí, se ayude a facilitar el diálogo entre las partes haciendo el mejor uso posible de las normas e instrumentos de que dispone la OCDE para este fin.
