A Trade Union Perspective on the Future of Work – Une perspective syndicale de l’avenir du travail

The OECD Future of Work Initiative is expected to gain further traction and visibility in the coming months. In Spring 2019, the OECD will release its final report on Going Digital and enter into the second phase of the Horizontal Project, to be followed by the Employment Outlook 2019 and a report on public policy challenges regarding new non-standard forms of work (NSFW). All of these outcomes are expected to feature prominently at the annual OECD Ministerial Council Meeting 2019. The OECD discussions on the Future of Work obviously matter to trade unions.

To set the stage for upcoming discussions, the TUAC invites representatives of permanent delegations, the BIAC and the OECD Secretariat to exchange on the opportunities and challenges in the new world of work with its affiliates on the 30 October from 14.00-16.00 at the OECD Conference centre, room CC18.

L’Initiative de l’OCDE sur l’avenir du travail sera amenée à gagner en visibilité dans les mois à venir. Au printemps 2019, l’OCDE publiera son rapport final « Vers le numérique » (et entamera alors la seconde phase du projet), puis les Perspectives de l’emploi 2019 ainsi qu’un rapport sur les enjeux de politiques publiques posés par les formes atypiques d’emploi. Ces publications devraient figurer en bonne place dans les débats de la Réunion ministérielle annuelle du Conseil en 2019. Les discussions à l’OCDE portant sur l’avenir du travail sont clairement de première importance pour les syndicats.

Afin de cadrer les débats à venir, le TUAC invite les représentants des délégations permanentes, le BIAC et le secrétariat de l’CODE à un échange de vues sur les défis et les opportunités d’un monde du travail en mutation le 30 octobre, 14h-16h au centre de conférence de l’OCDE, salle CC18.
